About Me

As a conceptual photographer, I prefer to work on in-depth, long-term projects that are closely related to my personal experiences. My photography is about exploring themes that touch me and where I can discover and develop my own perspective. For me, photography is not just about taking pictures, but an ongoing process of research and exploration.

"It's no longer about who can take the sharpest photo, but who can tell the most authentic story."

My Approach

I specialize in conceptual photography, finding unique ways to translate ideas and emotions into visual narratives. Whether I'm shooting on the streets of Amsterdam or working on commissioned projects, I strive to find the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Exhibitions

In recent years I have exhibited my photographic work regularly. From 2008 yearly exhibitions with the photo club to the exhibition "Next Level" in Schiedam (Nov-Dec 2021) and from 2023 yearly at the "Kunstroute Culemborg".

Newsletter & Magazines

I also share this through my weekly newsletter, Darkrooms. In this newsletter I discuss other photographers' working methods, special projects and interviews. I also publish a quarterly online magazine that highlights the work of talented photographers with outstanding projects and thought-provoking essays. You can subscribe to the newsletter or read the articles on Darkrooms.
